Worktree

Offline hosts and troubleshooting

Recover from unavailable hosts, removed access, and provider connection issues.

Host is offline

The host app may be closed, its computer may be asleep, its network may be unavailable, or sharing may be disabled. The guest cannot distinguish every cause. Check that the host is running and sharing is enabled.

Worktree reconnects when the connection is available again. You can close the offline tab, switch tabs, open settings, or start a session in a local project. Offline projects are disabled in the new-session picker. Your provider settings for that shared server remain local and can load independently.

Waiting for approval

Entering a valid invitation code creates a pending request. The host must approve your device before you can use the project. If the code expired before admission, request a fresh code. Codes expire after ten minutes.

Access was removed

Revocation removes the saved project connection after the guest receives it. An already-open tab can retain an explanation of what happened. A new invitation and approval are required to rejoin. Simply restarting does not restore access.

A provider is missing

Check which server's Providers page you opened. Local Server and a shared host use separate local provider profiles. Connect your account in the shared server's Providers settings when sending work to that project. Also check model visibility under Models and any provider-side limits.

An action is disabled

Ask the host to review your project permissions. Agent shell Off or Ask also disables file editing and terminals for this alpha. This is an intentional execution restriction, not a connection error.

OpenCode community opens OpenCode's Discord. Worktree is an independent app built on OpenCode, so report Worktree-specific sharing or interface problems to Worktree. Do not post credentials or unredacted logs in either community.
